What is Wireless Communication?
Wireless Communication
Wireless is a method of communication without the use of cables or wires. Instead it uses radio waves, microwaves, infrared light, laser light, visible light, acoustic energy, etc. to transmit data between the sender and the reciever. Signals are sent through transmitting towers and received by receiving towers or antennas. Signals can also be transmitted via communication satellites.
Long-range networks, such as those used for mobile phones, are reguleted by the government. Low-powered transmissions such as those used to transmit data between devices in Local Area Networks are mostly unregulated transmissions. Wireless networks are specially useful in remote areas where laying of cables is very difficult due to hostile weather and terrain.
